Our 2018 Starters are Here!

We are so excited: Our seedlings for donation are ready!

Last frost has come and gone! Utica has fallen into its happy rhythm of enjoying the warm weather and sunshine—and for many, enjoying time spent gardening.

While the city was still in hibernation, we started various flower and vegetable seeds in greenhouse space that was generously donated by Hamilton College (thank you!), and we are so excited that the seedlings are finally ready to donate to our partnered gardens! There is something so deeply satisfying about growing your own food—and, for us, it somehow makes everything taste better.

Seedlings that we grow in our own beds are raised organically, and all harvested food is donated to local food banks and soup kitchens throughout Utica. We are really grateful for the opportunity to fight food insecurity in our community, and the best part is that the growing season has just begun!

Enjoy the sunshine!
